It climbs to a height of 500 feet and then flies up to a mile in the direction it was thrown before magically teleporting back to you as a carried item. Its journey takes 1 minute to fly a full mile but ends early if it hits any obstacle.
The hawk retains what was visible directly beneath it for up to one hour after its mission. While it retains information, you can unfold the paper hawk into a flat piece of paper as an action and see an animated black-and-white sketch play out in real time on the paper. The sketch depicts what was visible in a 600-foot radius directly beneath the hawk as it flew its most recent mission. The paper automatically refolds itself into a hawk when the sketch finishes playing.
