This blue and red vial resembles a magnet, complete with metal flakes circulating in a web-like pattern inside. It has enough oil to coat one weapon or armor piece, with its effects lasting for 1 hour.
When applied to a weapon, you gain advantage on your attack roll when attempting to disarm an opponent of a weapon or object made of metal—when you hit a creature with an attack using the weapon, you deal no damage, and the target must make a DC 18 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, it drops the object you choose. If the saving throw fails by less than 5, the object drops at the target’s feet. If it fails by 5 or more, you have the option to take the object with your free hand or have it drop at your feet instead.
When applied to armor, enemies attacking with a metal weapon gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls to hit you but a –2 penalty to their damage rolls. When you are hit by a metal weapon, you can use a reaction to attempt to disarm your attacker. The target must make a DC 18 Strength saving throw with disadvantage, dropping the object at your feet on a failure.

When applied to a weapon, you gain a +2 item bonus to Disarm metal items and don’t need to have at least one hand free if you are holding the weapon. On a critical success, the item falls to the ground in your space.
When applied to armor, enemies attacking with a metal weapon gain a +1 item bonus on attack rolls to hit you but a –1 item penalty to their damage rolls. When you are hit by a metal weapon, you can use a reaction to attempt to Disarm your attacker with a +2 item bonus, but you do need to have at least one hand free. On a critical success, you take the item.
