Catharsis. When the serpentine wreath dies, all creatures within 50 feet gain an effect for 1 minute determined by the emotion preserved by the wreath: +2 bonus to attack damage for anger, the effects of the haste spell for fear, advantage on Charisma checks for grief, and advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks for joy.
Emotional Aura. Serpentine wreaths can only form when flowers or herbs dry in the presence of prolonged intense emotions. The wreaths preserve an echo of that emotion, which over time distill into either anger, fear, grief, or joy. This emotion pervades the space within 50 feet of the wreath. Creatures must attempt a DC 12 Will save when they enter the aura for the first time on a turn. On a success, they feel the emotion preserved by the wreath, know the general location of the wreath within 15 feet, and are immune to the wreath’s Emotional Aura for 24 hours. On a failure, they are overwhelmed by the emotion, taking 1d4 psychic damage and gaining a condition that lasts until they leave the aura determined by the emotion preserved by the wreath: poisoned for anger, frightened of the wreath for fear, blinded by tears for grief, and charmed by the wreath for joy.
