This dagger looks like an ordinary steel blade but pulses in your grip. After the first time you use this dagger to successfully hit a creature that has a weakness, the surface of the dagger transforms into a damage type to which the target has a weakness. For the next minute, attacks with the dagger deal that damage type instead of piercing damage. The dagger can’t change damage types again until the minute has elapsed, after which the dagger reverts to its original form and can transform again.

Activate—Imbue Weakness [one-action] (concentrate) Requirements You are observing a creature that has a weakness you know, as learned from some source of information or a Recall Knowledge check; Effect The surface of the dagger transforms to form a layer of the material or energy type to which you think your target has a weakness—if your knowledge is incorrect, the transformation matches what you know and not what is true. If the dagger transforms to match an energy type, its attacks deal that type of damage instead of physical damage. This layer remains for one hour before becoming plain steel again or is replaced if you Activate the blade again.
