Hobby Blog #5: Quick Brown Fur Paint Recipes (I’m Dead Busy and Out of Content)

by | Apr 14, 2025 | Blog | 0 comments

Uaaaaaaaaagh.

Yeah, I’m getting worse and worse. That warning last week about content slowing cause I’m running a D&D campaign, the start of which always requires the most time and work? I wasn’t kidding.

I haven’t really painted much of anything again in the last week. I spruced up a bunch of old D&D minis for the campaign, adding extra highlights and so on to older, not so good paint jobs. I’m currently painting a few orcs. They’ll probably be the painting guide for next week.

Anyway, I’m out of content. For this weeks Random Old Mini Paint Recipes, we have another wolf from the Castle Ravenloft D&D board game (I have that game at the top of my pile at the moment, that’s why all the minis are from it), same as the one from last week. Except this guy is brown! So exciting.

Caption. I don’t have one.

Brown Fur Speed Paint Recipe – Basecoat Mournfang Brown, wash Agrax Earthshade, drybrush Mournfang Brown, light drybrush Steel Legion Drab. Basecoat the face with Steel Legion Drab instead of Mournfang Brown to make it lighter to draw focus.

This is a pathetic amount of content because my bud Keksiveli will be doing a far larger and better article in a few days as he wants to try out blogging. No spoilers on what it is, but it’s really good. It’ll hopefully make up for the weeks of half assed stuff I’ve been putting up. Anyway, Discord https://discord.gg/646b7T3d99 BYE.
