Hello! Fellow orc enthusiasts! (Which I am not but hey, here we are) Its Orctober25 and I was tasked to do a posts about orcs. So I decided to do four. Here is the third one. A guide for making a fantasy orruk into an ork from future! I am on a work trip so photos will be a little different from usual and painting maybe not so sharp as the 12 hour shifts of construction take their toll. At least the hotel life is sucky now that we had to change hotel and I don’t have desk any more…

I started by building the kit normally until it was time to but on the weapons and hands. In this step I held back and went to the bitz box. I chose to have a close combat weapon and a gun. How ever I wanted this ork to be little bit more fancy with a proper flame thrower! I found an old bit which I am not sure where is it even from. I wanted this to be attached to the CCW arm. Then it hit me. It should be a claw to hold old ´ummies on their grilling place! Then I went to look for a good slug weapon base. I chose heavy bolter. And added more barrel. I got a good muffler piece from an contemptor dreaghnaughts twin something gun. I just cut its silencer off with a knife. Then added it to the heavy bolter. I noticed some warhammer icons and decided to cut them off. I then smoothed the surface with plastic glue. I needed to cut of the arms own weapon of for the bolter thingy. I clipped its blade of and the rest of handle. Then attached the bolter and greenstuffed a new butt for the handle.

I wanted more armour pieces so added a few. One shield that I smoothed with a knife and carved its shape to be unrecognisable. It is from a vitruvian kolossus kit from the Dystopian wars game. Then added a small piece with two greenstuff irons to hold it in place. The shield will be vital to filling too much space behind the back bag I will add later.

The back bag started from a grav gun. I cut some pieces off, added a pipe for fun and of course some canisters of fuel for the flamethrower. After this I used greenstuff to adjust it to place on the back armour. I needed something to scifi up the ork more. I added a tesla coil kinda looking piece so that it can be seen from most angles to really give more scifi feeling and story to this model. I needed greenstuff to fill the holes. Now we need cables to bring things together. Cables from the tesla to the back bag. A broken cable to show orks brutal way of technology. And of cours ea way for the fuel to connect to the flamethrower. I made them all from string that I attached and covered with superglue.
