Hello fellow orc enjoyers! Orctober is far behind us… But they always come back! So heres a fast way to paint a scifi ork for your games!
I start with solid basecoats. I try to choose little more brighter colours than I want them to be, because the washes will be making them appear more dark.
Then I added a whole lot of blue wash all over the miniature. When the wash is dry, I start drybrushing. Brighter blue for the blue parts. Brighter and more yellow greens for the skin. Some freen tinted greys for black parts and brighter, greyer brown for the leather parts. I layered the orange over the red parts to make them appear more warm. And to have a greater contrast and a pop of colour behind the miniature.
For the orange claws I drybrush stipled over the brown, more bright orange layers. And when I was satisfied with the orange I highlighted the edges with even brighter white infused orange.
After this step I washed again with a more darker greenish brown wash. This could have just been a dark brown wash, but I did not have enough and had to make a mix.
And here are the results!
