Contest Overview

Submission Deadline: 11:59pm US Pacific Time Tuesday 2 January 2022

Entry Subject: Any unpainted goblin mini from WizKids, Steamforged Games, Archon Studio, or Reaper. Products from other companies must be 28mm-32mm scale and have the company name in the description and we reserve the right to disqualify entries we can’t verify are unpainted and the right scale.

Entry Requirements:

1. 1. 1. Your submission must include before and after photos of the mini unpainted and painted, with you or a physical label of some sort listing your verifiable preferred social media handle in both pictures. You may check “Don’t publish photos of me” to request we not publish those photos.
      2. You may submit up to 8 additional photos showing your mini from different angles and/or in a diorama with other minis, terrain and props. You must submit at least 1 additional photo if you requested we not publish the photos in requirement (1).
      3. Entry must be family-friendly by TTRPG standards.

Judging:

1. 1. 1. Overall Painting placement will be awarded based solely on the painting quality with scores broken down for 50% painting skill, 20% creativity, 20% difficulty of the paint scheme attempted, and 10% presentation (photo quality, angles to show all of the mini, good neutral lighting, etc.)
      2. Themed category awards are based on the “Harrowing Holidays” theme. The theme is deliberately open to interpretation.

Prizes

Winners will be announced by Jan. 31, 2022. Delays shall be communicated on this page if any occur.

For international winners, shipping of physical rewards may be cost prohibitive for us. In those cases, each physical award shall be replaced by a $20 USD electronic gift certificate (or equivalent value certificate or loyalty points) to one of the following retailers of your choice: Amazon, Reaper, Paizo, DMs Guild, or The Gallant Goblin. If you don’t want a prepainted booster box as your reward, you may also opt to take the aforementioned gift certificate option instead.

First Place

Option to become a judge for any Gallant Goblin painting contests that start within 3 months of the winner announcements for this contest

Each winner of a themed category shall receive 1000 ($10) Goblin Gold loyalty points to our web store and their choice of one published DMs Guild supplement we have worked on. The themed categories are:
