Full Rules

Entry Subject

  1. Entry shall be one (1) initially unpainted mini that is painted by the entrant.

  2. Entrant must submit at least two photos clearly depicting themselves or a physical label showing a verifiable social media handle of their choice with the entry, one prior to the entry being painted and one after it's painted. Check the "Don't publish photos of me" box if you don't want those pictures to be published online, but you must have at least one other photo of the painted mini uploaded for us to display instead. Other elements in the photo (backgrounds, other minis, etc.) shall not be considered during judging for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place but may be considered for other prize categories. The photo should not be modified or feature lighting or other effects in a manner that would notably alter the appearance or visibility of the entry.

  3. If kitbashing or otherwise altering the mini, the mini should remain roughly 75% or more the original mini and be recognizable as the original mini.

  4. The mini should be a goblin from an unpainted product released by WizKids, Steamforged Games, Archon Studio, or Reaper. Products from other companies may be considered but the company must be listed in the description so we can verify it. Minis must be in the 28mm-32mm scale range. We reserve the right to disqualify entries from companies not in the above list.

Entrants

  1. Limit one (1) entry per person. Additional entries will not be included in the contest or judged.

  2. Entry must be submitted by 11:59pm US Pacific Time Tuesday 2 January 2022.

  3. Entry must be submitted using the web form on this page.

  4. Entries should be family-friendly within the context of traditional tabletop RPGs. Some bloody and suggestive imagery may be permissible but no extreme violence, gore, or nudity should be depicted. We reserve the right to make a final judgment call on the appropriateness of a submission. If a submission is rejected, you will be contacted via your provided email address and will have the opportunity to submit a replacement entry by the entry deadline.

Prizes

For international winners, shipping of physical rewards may be cost prohibitive for us. In those cases, each physical award shall be replaced by a $20 USD electronic gift certificate (or equivalent value certificate or loyalty points) to one of the following retailers of your choice: Amazon, Reaper, Paizo, DMs Guild, or The Gallant Goblin. If you don't want a prepainted booster box as your reward, you may also opt to take the aforementioned gift certificate option instead.

  2. The entry title and description, as well as submitted photos, will all be used during judging. Poor photo quality may affect judging scores.

  3. Themed category judging is based on the "Harrowing Holidays" theme. The theme is deliberately open to interpretation.
